Rivière-Verte, Komkoitegouk in Maliseet, means “river of green water”. The community took root in the wake of the fouding of Saint-Balise and the arrival of the first settlers in the 18th century.
Rivière Verte is an ideal location for sports, in particular trout fishing and small game hunting. In October, the village holds its annual Arts and Crafts Country Fair. It is also a choice place for canoeing.
In autumn, the landscape dons its best attire in a symphony of magnificent colours. In winter, the hills of Green River become a snowmobiler’s joy. The landscape is beautiful, the excursions, unforgettable.
Observe the magnificent panoramic view year-round, and especially during the family day 360 degrees of colors.
