On July 1, 2 and 3, 2022, at De la République Provincial Park, Madawaska: The Key to Canada event will be held. This historical activity is offered free of charge to the public. It aims to discover the customs of the inhabitants of the banks of the Madawaska during the 18th century (sailors, soldiers and peasants).

During the activity, people will be able to soak up the way of life of yesteryear by visiting the reconstruction of a period camp, animated continuously. More than twenty animators, dressed in period costumes, will present various themes: navigation methods, military life, ship medicine, marine, kitchen, ladies' work, etc. Throughout the weekend, visitors will also be able to attend demonstrations of cannon and rifle shooting.

In addition, on Saturday evening 8pm,  a show on tales and legends will be presented on the stage of Provincial Park.
